The "Second Home" visa allows foreign nationals to reside temporarily in Indonesia for an extended period. It is suitable for those who wish to stay in the country long-term without the intention of engaging in employment. The visa is issued for an initial period of five years, with the option to extend for another five years, allowing a total stay of up to ten years.
Key RequirementsTo obtain the visa, applicants must meet financial criteria. You must either have at least $130,000 USD in an account at a state-owned bank in Indonesia (e.g., BNI or Mandiri) or own property worth at least $1,000,000 USD with usage rights (Hak Pakai).
During the visa's validity period, you can manage the funds in your account freely. However, immigration authorities may request proof of the required balance at any time. If you fail to provide confirmation of the funds, your visa and any dependent family visas may be revoked.
It's important to note that the property used to meet visa requirements must have usage rights (Hak Pakai). Lease agreements or other forms of rental documents are not accepted. You must provide documentation proving ownership or usage rights (Hak Pakai).
